Workshops

Guadalupe Alter by Jane Kelly, JK MosaicsI’m pleased to announce my new workshop: Introduction to Shrine Making. This is a collage and assemblage workshop, with no mosaic work required. The class will introduce students to the concept of making a shrine as a personal expression of a special or sacred person, place, idea or deity. It can also be a memory box. We will use a mixture of provided materials: paper, paint, figurines, silk flowers, gems, jewels and charms. Students are encouraged to bring personal items that are meaningful and/or decorative. Mementos and photographs work well but are not required.

Introduction to Shrine Making
March 10 & 11
Saturday: 10-4
Sunday: 10-2
The cost, including all materials, is $150.

  3. Hi Jane,
I am so sorry not to get back to you sooner. My computer keeps crashing every time I go to facebook to try to contact you! So I hope this reaches you well. I LOVED the dreaming lady….was hoping she was about 2 times the size and could be all weather…your price per size was very fair. In any case, SOME DAY we are going to have one of your beautiful mosaics or more! Wish you could visit Dandelion and we could scheme together! Some day I hope to have sponsors and your mosaics would be more than worthy!

  4. Jane I love the cowgirl!! If I had her on my wall I would smile every time I looked at her. I shared her and your show on Facebook.

  5. Jane,
I am SO EXCITED that you will be offering workshops in Sonoma County!!! I work weekends so I am hoping you will offer some workshops during the week. I have been mosaicing for years, but would like to improve my skills, and learn more and more!!
