Introduction to Shrine Making

Mosaic Hanging Planter
Basic mosaic experience recommended
In this fun workshop, students will create their own hanging wall planter using ceramic cups that have been cut in half. Cups will be adhered to a prepared surface to be tiled and grouted. Dish shards, tile and a variety of provided materials will be used to create a finished mosaic planter ready to be planted with small succulents.

Workshops will be held at the beautiful Sebastopol Center for the Arts, 282 S. High Street, Sebastopol, CA 95472.
Mosaic Basics – in Hawaii
All levels welcome.

The cost, including all materials, is $150.
Workshop will be held on Molokai, Hawaii at the Molokai Art Center.
Students will learn the basic skills of mosaic making: design, tile cutting, adhesives, tools and materials. Students will create either a concrete stepping stone for the garden or a plywood wall panel.

What to bring: design ideas (I will also have designs available for you to use or adapt), eye protection (prescription eyeglasses or safety glasses), an apron or clothes that can get dirty, lunch/snacks/beverage, and your enthusiasm.
If you have your own nippers, please bring them. I will have some available to use, and brand new ones available for $20. Be sure to call if you have any questions. I hope to see you soon!
